Vintage disney posters didn't hold back on colour. The green and the red compliment each other. If I would say one thing about this...its eye catching. Contrasty. My tired eyes really cannot appreciate the highly saturated light blue in the background. I think the extreme values and overkill of bright colours suggests this was aimed for kids. This one makes a narrow escape from my colour blacklist.
I am sensing a running theme for these Disney picture book covers. Garish and eye catching.
Unearthing more gems. A prime candiate representing the quality that is the disney sequel. A screen grab from Aladdin 'Return of Jafar'. This was probably made on a tight budget and even tighter schedule and o has the visuals suffered because of it. The purples work well together...
